Getting to scuba dive

I always had issues with getting blocked ears when I was a kid, but I never investigated it until I started to snorkel and wanted to scuba dive. I just couldn't equalise the pressure in my ears as I started to dive to deeper depths of the oceans. Luckily when I went to the ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist to get it investigated, it was a relatively simple problem with my Eustachian tubes that was easily fixed with a small surgery.
